IDENTITY - BAD OMENS
In ‘Bad Omens’, I look at anxiety using a silverfish-infested bathroom as metaphor. The silverfish are extremely small but similar to how my worries and anxiety intensify more and more the longer I avoid facing them, the fear of silverfish is also much bigger than them. My goal is to produce artwork that can instill a sense of community in my audience, making them relate by using appropriate formats and mediums that convey my feelings on a deeper level, which is what I attempted to exemplify with ‘Bad Omens’.

PLACE
WAITING
In ‘Waiting’ I started exploring how waiting can be beautiful if we embrace it.
Through this book, I wanted to show that what the wait is worth does not matter since waiting is a part of life and it can be enjoyed. I focused on portraying transient spaces such as waiting rooms, trains and busses, which have the sole purpose of being passed through and forgotten. These places embody the concept of waiting and their propensity to make time drag on is generally disliked but, the obligatory time spent there can be freeing, and lend a rare moment where we can freely practice introspection, observation and daydreaming without the distractions of everyday responsibilities.

WONDER
A collaboration between me and Eve Moore, ‘Giving up?’ is a stop-motion animation in which two characters meet in a landfil. Centering a character searching for a mysterious object, we explored the inner conflict of an artist in a consumerist society.
